Learn how successful coaches started out and learn from their success!
Name: Serena Misquez
Location: Phoenix, Arizona USA
Q. Why did you become a coach?
A. I made the decision to become a spiritual coach because not only am I passionate about studying everything related to metaphysics, enlightenment, and holistic health, but I saw this as a virtually limitless creative outlet for me to express my passion while simultaneously uplifting women to only live at their highest potential in this lifetime. Coaching is a win-win situation for me.
Q. Aside from coaching what do you love doing?
A. I love to sing, play music with my daughter, (I’m currently taking up the harp!) travel, write stories ( also with my daughter) , try new foods, read everything from non-fiction, fantasy novels, self-help, and personal development books, see comedy shows, go for meditative runs, jam out to high vibrational playlists (currently addicted to Enya and Katherine Jenkins), and PLAY!
Q. What was the scariest thing about starting your business?
A. The scariest thing for me about starting my business was putting myself out there. In the beginning, the floodgates are opened once your name and your brand are officially out for the world to see. Suddenly I had all of these limiting beliefs and self-doubts occur! I would have thoughts like “well what if it doesn’t make sense” or “what if I overestimated what running a business requires,” etc.
At the end of the day, however, my confidence in my abilities and belief in myself trump all of those silly thoughts. When embarking into new territory I think that it’s completely natural to try and get your footing, but once you’re rooted that’s when momentum occurs!
Q. What would you tell someone who is just starting out as a coach?
A. I would tell them to trust the process and keep going.
Q. What is the best thing about your business?
A. The best thing about my business is that it is telling me where it’s headed, not the other way around! I think it’s important for entrepreneurs to be able to intuitively detect what is necessary for a business to flourish in an organic way. I’ve got to be able to listen to what my clients are truly yearning for, keep their best interests at heart, and never sacrifice my unique style or process of doing things.
Q. What exciting plans are you working on at the moment?
A. I’m working on a new webinar series that will be launching soon!
