Should you give away your services for free?

A question I have been asked many times is…”Do I need to give away my services for free since I’m just starting out as a coach/consultant/solo professional…

So this week I’m answering the question on the weekly video!

Here are some points to consider when deciding if this is the right decision for you and your biz:

  • Offering your services for free to one or two people allows you to really test out your offering to see if it is giving the results that you are claiming it will. You can make sure that at the end of the program your clients are getting the results you are claiming they will experience.


  • In return for the “free” services, you can ask for feedback from the client. What they enjoyed about the program and if there were any areas for improvement.


  • If the client had a good experience ask for a testimonial that you can put in your sales page and marketing materials to add to your credibility.


  • Offering your services for free will likely give you more confidence too. You will be able to see your client’s journey and follow their success; thus building your confidence not only in yourself but in your program and package too.

    Yes! I’m considering offering the course I want to create for free to about 5 people. What do you think about tracking their experience while launching a paid product so the free group would start 30 days before the paid group and I’d implement the changes & feedback while the paid group is going through the course?
